Counting Down

We are getting closer and closer to our big day! We've had some setbacks - like right now I am battling a cold (along with the rest of the family), and things I had wanted to be done and over with, were postponed and are still on the "to do" list - like running a Brownie meeting with Gabe about Japanese and American Sign Language (postponed from a previous week due to snow), getting girl scout cookies delivered, helping with the next pack meeting, cleaning the floors, organizing rooms, washing baby clothes....there is so much more. But we still have 11 days =). That felt like a lot more time a month ago =). The kids are excited, Gabe and I are excited, and if I could just move....all of these things to do in our countdown, would seem so much more conquerable =).

  1. Wow! Only 11 days! And another February birthday to join the bunch. Have you settled on a name yet? Don't worry about not getting things done, baby will come regardless and everything will work out.

  2. We don't have a name we've settled on - just a meager list of names we can all agree on =). It's kind of fun not knowing exactly what we will name this little one. And thanks for the advice - it will come in handy when things aren't done and we are headed off to the hospital. Yikes - it's coming up fast! =)

  3. Only 11 days???!! Wow! Then you'll have three boys! Is the turtle a girl? How can you tell if the turtle is a girl? Could you just pretend it's a girl? What are you gonna do for Valentine's Day? Something fun before you have that baby, right? I've missed your blog. Thanks for joining us here on blogspot!

  4. That last few days are the hardest. Can't sleep, can't waddle fast enough to keep up with Kevin. Grouchy and have to go potty more than what is reasonable. And NOBODY wants to do housework except you and you really can't bend over to do anything. Just put a hold on everything and rest a bit, then do what you want to do. Don't feel guilty about it, either; you won't have time to do what you want after the baby is born. Have a little fun today!

  5. You guys are the best =). Saying things that make me laugh and calm me down are exactly what I need =). We DID decide to do something fun for Valentine's day. Gabe made reservations for us (and Matt and Kristy) to go to a Japanese hibachi grill, and Matt got tickets in advance for us to go to Comedy Sportz =). I know I will appreciate looking back on that when we have this little newborn constantly at our sides =). Emelyn and I DO say the turtle is a girl =). There is no way of really knowing until the turtle is much bigger, but for now - it's TOTALLY a girl =). The hermit crab is a girl too =). And queen mum - you said it exactly right. We can't wait to see you and for you to meet this new little Haynie soon =).

  6. You can deliver girl scout cookies to me anytime you would like. I am partial to the Thin Mints and Peanut Butter cookies.
